STAR was born from my personal lived experience as a single mother and a woman of faith.
I know firsthand the weight of carrying responsibility alone—the prayers whispered
through tears, the strength it takes to show up every day, and the deep desire not just to
survive, but to truly thrive. In those moments, my faith became my anchor. God reminded
me that I was never walking alone.

As a single mother, I learned that resilience is built one step at a time—and that support can
change everything. Having someone believe in you, stand with you, and remind you of your
worth matters.

STAR exists because too many single mothers are walking this journey alone. They deserve
more than survival. They deserve to thrive and rise. We are a faith-based nonprofit committed to walking alongside single mothers with compassion, dignity, and purpose—providing practical resources, emotional support, and community to help them move from hardship to healing and from uncertainty to stability.

STAR is not just a program—it is a promise. A promise that single mothers are seen. A promise that faith and action can work together to change lives. And a promise that when a mother thrives and rises, her children, family, and community rise with her.
